I find myself using -ear a lot recently. I think it comes from listening to The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy a bit too much, though.

But then if the HGG says ear, who am I to say it's wrong.42 and all that.
It's not in the book, or anything. It's just that in the both Arthur and Random pronounce it with an -ear in one of the last radio shows. I don't know if that's the official HGG way of pronouncing it. Maybe it's just the way all mad Brits say it.
