A Question

How does one tell a guy that, no, his cousin didn't just say "kite" while talking about Jewish people, in a polite way in a work environment?

I've a quote from Life of Brian going through my head but it's even more inappropriate...

Yeah, but Life of Brian is funny and made a point. The co-worker, not so much.

PS "I'm a Red Sea pedestrian, and proud of it!"

I thought the insult was "kike." I would have said something, I just don't know what.

That is the insult and that is what he said. (He wasn't saying it about anyone in the office. I think he was pretending to be a Nazi, since that's what they were just talking about.) The thing is, the other guy thought "kite" was spoken. The English major in me wanted to correct the mistake, I just couldn't figure out how to do it at work and politely.

Any suggestions?
